Approach to problem solving in business organization| MIS

The system approach of problem solving in derived from the system theory. The systematic approach provides a good solution to business problems. Problem in business are the basic conditions which cause undesirable results. The system, approach defines problems, identified. Alternative solutions and guide best alternative solution to problem. Following are the solution a problem systematically.

1: DEFINING OF PROBLEM:

Defining the problem is the most important step of systematic approach to problem solving. If we have not defined the problem it will impassible to develop a correct solution for solving it. It is very important to correctly define the problem before going further in other step.

2: DEVELOP ALTERNATIVE SOLUTION:

One the problem is identified there may be many possible solution for it. Businessorganization will analyze the cost benefit of each solution in respect of faced problem. So, for a specific problem cue should consider all possible solution. In practice experience is a good source to develop alternative solutions. We may make consultation with experts who possess vast knowledge, experience and practice for developing a solution for a problem.

EVALUATING ALTERNATIVE SOLUTION:

After developing various alternative solutions the experts need to know about each solution with regard to its cost-benefit. A solution may look more effective but it should not be appropriate to use for solving problem. Evaluation is done to know as how the solution is meeting out business or organization requirement.

4: SELECTING THE BEST SOLUTION:

The evaluation process through light on various solutions and also identifies the best solution for the problem. On the basis of this evaluation organization select a solution which is more appropriate according to the organization requirement.

5: IMPLEMENTING THE SOLUTION:

Any selecting a solution plan is desired to implement the solution to solve the problem. The implementation plan specifies activities, resources, and time for implementing the desire solution. Thus, implementation is the execution of new solution in actual environment.

6: POST IMPLEMENTATION REVIEW:

The new implemented solution might fail in actual environment real world can decrease the performance of even a well designed solution. After the implementation of solution its performance is checked in the actual environment. In other word the solution is checked as it achieve its goal or not. If the solution is achieving its goal we should go back the previous step. This is a cyclic process of solving a problem systematically.
